6 great bonuses. In truth, I would say 4 great bonuses. The other 2 are not so great.

Premium Package includes power-packed Secrets to Dog Training Downloadable video series and a software program which I find useless.

Feedback and Complaints

The Secrets To Dog Training is huge! With 260 pages of filler-free content, it's safe to say that this guide is your deluxe reference for solving over 2 dozen dog behavior problems.

You got anymore problems?  Just shoot a question at the Members area and your concern will be promptly addressed.

Although the guide super jam-packed, rest assure that you won't be overwhelmed with information overload. The chapters and pages are clickable and the table of contents is neatly organized.

In addition to this, the guide offers tips, insight, case studies and instructions in a clear, helps-you-every-step-of-the-way manner complete with specially commissioned photos plus a cool 30-minute downloadable video. You’ll learn:

  • Several battle tested house training methods for indoor and outdoor dogs.
  • Stop that annoying jumping behavior by one of six highly effective techniques. Number 3 is my favorite, works like a charm.
  • Sure-fire techniques that teach your dog when and where is the right time to bark. It took almost 2 months of consistent practice to get this down pat with my dog Brylow, but it was worth it.
  • More useful methods on how to stop your dog from harassing the family cat, biting, nipping, pulling on the leash, digging, aggression, and so much more. In total, there are 25 dog behavior problems covered in the guide.

As for the 6 bonuses bundled along with the package, 4 of them are a good read.

1) A quick guide to dog aggression - Comprehensive advice on how to solve your dog aggression behavior.

2) All the House Training Methods and Tricks - Include guidelines on how to conduct direct and paper method for an outdoor and indoor dog respectively. Plus several tricks to maximize your house training results.

3) Dog Grooming Made Easy - Offers a plethora of information how to groom your dog in a manner that is going to give those around you the most impact.

4) Secrets to Becoming an Alpha Dog - This handy reference guide provide insights on how your dog’s mind works. Dogs are pack animals so by reading this guide, you get to learn a few techniques on how to project yourself as a leadr of the pack to your dog. Excellent stuff!

The remaining 2 bonuses that are not so excellent to me:

1) Tips on Security Training your Dog - This one serves only as filler material if nothing else.

2) Secrets to Dog Training Audio Book - The 260 page main guide can now be listened on your computer or burn to a CD. Listen to it in your car, Mp3 player, vinyl player…Oh wait! You can’t burn it to a vinyl disc…

This sucker is long and I don't fancy listening to it. I’d rather read the guide and watch the videos so I can quickly zero in on the meat and get the training started.

Speaking of videos, please note that the regular training package comes with only one 30-minute video. I got the premium package back in July 09, and it came with 6 very fascinating, very helpful “Dog Training Online Video Series” along a ho-hum software program.

Online Video 1: How to stop dog aggression part 1
Online Video 2: How to stop dog aggression part 2
Online Video 3: How to stop your dog from barking
Online Video 4: How to stop your dog’s biting and chewing problems
Online Video 5: Alpha dog training
Online Video 6: Real life case studies of dog training in action. This video is definitely the best of the lot!

The software is actually an information storage application. It allows you to store information for up to 20 dogs (information such as vaccinations, medical history, training progress, that sort of thing). I think it’s useless for me as I only have 4 dogs and as far record keeping goes, I just use my trusty Excel spreadsheet program!

I Want To Complain

The above mentioned software is unnecessary and I would have preferred another online video for my viewing pleasure. Say online video 7: How to teach your dog to perform commands such as stand, seek, heel, down, stay and other cool tricks like crawl, rollover etc.

Now do note that the main guide covers all kinds of commands and tricks in detail along with clear step-by-step photos, but I want to watch these things on video too. I suggest they scratch the software and replace it with another detail online video!

Listen, I even contacted the Kingdom of Pets (the network that published this training package) helpdesk to let my suggestion be known and my email was promptly replied.

According to the email, they will “take your suggestion into consideration” and get this, many dog owners are actually “pleased” with the software.

Hmmm…okay, fine. No need to drop the software then. But why not add another online video # 7 just for kicks: P

And one more thing. I’m sad to discover that Aaron Wilkes has left the Secrets to Dog Training team. He was extremely helpful to me and answered every question I had with the utmost patient.

The other trainers are helpful too but Aaron assisted me from day one. If you happen to chance across this site bro, I wish you all the best in your future undertakings.

Users Feedback

"Secrets to Dog Training's methods are positive and very proactive. Sumo, our pup, is doing great! At only 5 months old he sits, lies down, heals, stays, and even comes most of the time. We can not expect too much at his age but he is getting better everyday. Secrets to Dog Training continues to provide support through email which we feel is a priceless resource."

"I rescued two German Shepherds and I did not know anything about dog obedience. One of my dogs was quite aggressive with other dogs, and crazy about chasing cats and squirrels. I have learned so much from your instructions, and my dogs are now following my commands and I am able to control them."

Carla J. Johnson (Long Beach, California, USA)

"Hi Daniel, Our Bichon, Jasmine, is a very friendly little dog who loves everyone she meets and shows it by jumping up on them. By following the instructions in your Secrets to Dog Training book, we were able to control her jumping."
